My ideal job

My ideal job it’s nothing related with this major. I would like to be teacher in a school and maybe in the University. The difference between these two establishment are the age of the students and the topic of study. With the kids the relevance of the teacher will be not just about the subjects like history or mats that he could explain. The other part will be the education and formation of the children on the other areas of his world. For example the communication with his friends, the emotional intelligent that he shows on the adverse moments, etc. This kind of education is the area of my interest. The educator must have a lot of knowledge and patience. Another skill, and the most important, is the vocation of the teacher to teach. Maybe it sounds funny or obvious, but the relevance of this is that the teacher has the power to impact on a good or bad way the life of the children. If the teacher don’t have vocation to teach, his frustration by working on something that he don’t like will be trespass to the child. Finally, the difficulty of the teacher is not to find a job, it is bee a good teacher.

The Scream

Edvard Munch was a Norwegian Symbolist painter, printmaker and an important man of expressionistic art. His best-known composition, The Scream is part of a series The Frieze of Life, in which Munch explored the themes of life, love, fear, death, and melancholy. The first time I saw it was in the school. I was on Art class and we where studying the expressionistic art. I felt like all my pain and fears was on that painting. The red sky, a bloody sky, and the expression of the man on front that shows fear and angus. Maybe the picture is more like a reflection of the souls of the people who are looking at it. I don’t know how, but this painting of suffer gave me peace. I think that maybe the brushwork ate the fear that I have, and at that moment I felt peaceful. I think that you guys will have another thought about this, what do you think?

Do School kill creativity

This video show us Mr. Sir Ken Robinson talking about the topic “Do Schools kill creativity”. At the beginning he spoke about the relevance of the creativity. The creativity on children are equal and has a big potential, but the education kill this awesome creativity on children’s. The reason is simple, the education system give us the fear of been wrong when we are trying to do something new. “Because if you are not prepare to be wrong, you will never came with something original” said Mr. Sir Ken Robinson about this idea. Picasso said “All children are born artist, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up”. Around the world, the education system has a hierarchy of topics. First are mathematics and languages, then humanity and in the end arts. The education system create our vision of the word and what it supposed to be the most important thing for our life. On this case, the most important is the academic ability, leaving art outside. The human mind is versatile and the education system is aborting an important part of us. Maybe on the future things will be different, but we can do something right now, and that is look as equal the different kind of knowledge(art, mats, physic, etc)

The character that I admire

It was difficult to me choose only one person related to my major area, it took me a few minutes to choose only one.
My choice was Diego Portales. He was born in 1793 and died in 1837. He was a Minister on the government between 1830 and 1837 in different charges. He was the person who bring back the order to the Republic, because before him Chile was plunged in Anarchism an the administration of the State was trembling. He established the ideal State and who supposed to be the leaders. The State must be strong and with all it powers centralized. The leaders must be an example of virtues and patriotism, because with this the nation will follow a clear road to the supreme goal, the common benefit. With this the State of Chile acquired stability and a deep mark of a strong State, that we can see on our time.
I like his work, because at that time Chile needed a strong man (or woman) who can make big changes in a difficult situation. Another thing that always surprises me is that Diego Portales never accept is payment has a Minister of the State, because he thought that a leader must do the best for his Nation not for a reward, the Minister must do the best because the charge was created for the common benefit of the Nation and not by benefit of one person.

I was looking a lot of pictures searching for the most indicated for this post and then I saw it. I love it! It was the time when my father was here in Chile and my nephews were just babies. Maybe it was destiny that day my mother has a photo camera in her hands and took this picture. The older man is my father Luis, the one with a blue t-shirt is me, the little guy who is below me is the older nephew Bastian and the little fleshy child above all of us is the little brother of Bastian, Bruno.
I love this picture because my father and I have the same expression on our faces and the most important thing is that even though that year was hard we were a happy family. Now my father is living in Japan and my nephews are living with their mom in another place, I miss the three of them, but always this picture leaves me with a big smile.

My future career

I’m studying Public Management at the University of Chile. I decided to study this major because I thought that it was Politic Science but it’s just a minor. Even so, I stayed in this major because it has the best position from Chile on this area.
The professionals from this area contribute with is vision of what should be an organization. We are train to elaborate, perform and manage a group of people (the organization) to put them on a trial in search of specifics goals.
In the future, when I will be a professional, I’m expecting to help the people around me through the municipal organization, because is a type of organization from the State that is very close to the people.
The professionals of this area should have a vocation of service to the society, because is PUBLIC management, hello!!!!
My favorite subject are the area of investigation that focus on the human being. When you create a organization you could focus on the money, the statement and on the people. I prefer to focus on the people because I think that the things that we create like the money and organization should be a tool of the human and not the human a tool of them.

activity n°3: Your body

A)At this moment, I’m in the soccer team from my major. I’m training 3 days a week. One of this day I go to the gym from the university and do a lot of exercises. I like a lot doing this things, because since I was a young boy sports are a great hobby from me. The other thing that I’m doing it’s trying to smoke less, because maybe in the future I will stop smoking because it is bad to my health.

1.- Slow down man. Take a break of your accelerate way of life and see the sky, the calm sky.
2.- There is always a moment to take a drink with your friends, but not always.
3.- Eat some real food man, the fruits are as yummy as a hamburger.
4.- Always when you will do some exercises hamstring your stretches.
5.- The 20s are the moment when your body is on the top of the hill and you feel like you can do anything, but be aware this things will decide your future.

I found this site when I was unable to watch the tv news and I needed to know what was happening on my country and around the world.
La tercera is a newspaper from Chile and this website is the same paper that you can buy on the street but in a digital form.
Before I found this website, I was buying the newspaper almost all Sundays and when I haven’t any money I wasn’t able to read the news from the past day.
Also this website upload breaking news at any moment and you can be informed at every moment of the day. Whit this, the digital newspaper was able to break the barrier of the time, because the newspaper gave news from the past day but with more details that the tv news.
Now, the digital newspaper is more completed that the tv news, that’s why I like reading it so much.
I visit this website almost all night’s because most of the time I’m on my house after the news and I like to be informed.

My notebook!

My notebook is obviously my favourite piece of technology. Why? that's very simple. When I was 12 years old I had my first computer. Since that time I begun to familiarise with that piece of metal and with the past of the time it becomes a important part of my way of life. With the computer I was able to communicate with my father on the other side of the world (he lives in Japan) and speak with friends that I wasn’t able to see every day.
The past year, when I was accepted in the University, I felt that my computer should have wheels to push it anywhere I want to go.
I spoke with my mom and I explain that it was necessary to buy a new computer, but this time not just an ordinary computer, I need a notebook. She thought about that and was agree with my after 1 month.
The reason I love my notebook is that I can use it anywhere I want and if I’m making a job on my notebook I can stop, go to another place and follow it.
I use it every nights when I’m on my home after a long day of class. I e-mail my father, chat with my friends, hear music that I like, play some games and obviously study.
If I lose it some day I don’t know what would I do. At first, I will bee very angry, then I will feel with chains on my wrist because I will not be able to work anywhere I want.
So, this is my favourite technology, my notebook :D

About me and the blog

Hello people, this is my new blog. My name is Felipe and I’m 20 years old.
This year our teacher said to us that bloggin is a good way to practice our vocabulary. I think that’s a really good idea because we are not used to write on another language but we are used to hear it, for example on the radio when we heard our favorite’s music bands.
Another thing that we should know is that on this age of globalization the human kind is more connecting and you can speak with people from the other side of the world. So, we need a language that almost all the people know and that is English.
